President Goodluck Jonathan Promised Nigerians 2Million Jobs Annually If He Wins The Upcoming Election.
Same old story? The president Of The Federal Republic Of Nigeria, President Goodluck Jonathan has pledged two million jobs annually if he won in February polls.The President was speaking in Ibadan, Oyo State, while meeting his supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the coming presidential elections.
The president was cited by the News Agency of Nigeria as saying he will produce jobs for the crowded jobless inhabitants in Nigeria.
Jonathan did not say how that will happen, after mainly worsening to provide as many jobs in the last six years as president.
As well corruption and insecurity, the Jonathan’s government is obstinately criticized over the huge unemployed population in Nigeria.
The presidency has always pointed to its Small and Medium Scale support agenda, Youwin, which gives grants to only 1,200 people annually.
The government says the programme has involved hundreds of thousands, a figure that has been asked.
According to Premium Times, the government has also failed to defend its statement that it produced 1.6 million jobs in 2013.
At the Ibadan campaign, Mr. Jonathan also praised South-West chiefs for endorsing fairness, human rights, saying he will endure to respect and work with people from the zone.
Jonathan also said the votes of Nigerian women will either release or sanction them to the kitchen, advising women to vote for PDP.
