Louis Van Gaal's Decision About Robin Van Persie And Radamel Falcao.

van Persie may only have a few weeks to save his Manchester United career after
Radamel Falcao’s return from injury, write Squawka.
Alarm
bells are ringing at Manchester United and half of that is excitement
surrounding the players. For Robin van Persie though, is there a sign of a 2015
exit?
The 31 year-old was again
substituted at the weekend against Arsenal and in the 2-1 win, he managed just
13 touches the whole game.
It’s a shocking statistic for
someone of his quality but it hasn’t just been this week. The Dutchman has
failed to light up the league like he did two years ago and many are beginning
to doubt his credentials with his lack of pace and energy letting down the
side.
Normally it would be the older
experienced players taking the games by the scruff of the neck like Van Persie,
but that just hasn't happened. Manager Louis Van Gaal adopted a different
approach on Saturday and it worked. Club captain Wayne Rooney returned as a
striker and he delivered the goods for United’s second, but for Van Persie
again it was a no show.
The Dutchman is struggling for the
Red Devils and his pace is deteriorating at an alarming rate. It’s what many
expected to happen after suffering so many injuries but it wasn’t meant to
occur this season.
With Van Gaal taking charge – his
best friend according to some in football – Van Persie was supposed to bounce
back and perhaps help the Red Devils challenge for the Premier League title.
The complete opposite has happened.
Van Persie has just three goals in
11 appearances this season and comparing that to his form in 2012, it’s a huge
drop. When he signed from Arsenal, he had a remarkable season, where he netted
26 league goals in 38 appearances.
